Google Chrome Operating System - an operating system, originally aimed at the netbook market, developed by Google. First netbook is supplied with Chrome OS, expected in the second half of 2010. Chrome OS is built on the Linux kernel using a browser, Google Chrome, running in a new, specially developed system of windows. Source system will be open this year.

-CPU: Intel Pentium, Xeon or higher; AMD Duron, Athlon, Sempron, Opteron, or newer

-RAM: provide a virtual machine at least 256 MB
-VMware player or VMware workstation
-HDDk: 2 GB


Instructions for running on VMware
1. Create a new Virtual Machine.
2. Select OS Linux/Ubuntu.
3. Create a blank hard drive (doesn’t matter what size since it is gonna be removed).
4. Extract the *.vmdk file to a folder.
5. Go to virtual machine properties and remove the hard drive created by the VMware wizard.
6. Add vmdk file as a new hard drive (in advanced options it should be IDE 0:0).
7. Boot
